What customers actually see

Your Online Reputation Is More Than a Star Rating

When someone searches your business name, they judge you in seconds from six things on the results page. Good Google reputation management looks after every one of them, not just the average score.

  1. 1

    Your Business Profile

Name, hours, phone and category. Wrong or missing details make a business look neglected.

  2. 2

    Star rating and review count

The first number people compare. A handful of reviews looks thin next to a busy competitor.

  3. 3

    Your newest reviews

Most people read the latest few. A recent complaint with no reply speaks louder than old praise.

  1. 4

    How you reply

Replies show how you treat people when something goes wrong. Silence or arguing costs trust.

  2. 5

    Photos and updates

Fresh photos and posts tell customers the business is active and cared for.

  3. 6

    Other results for your name

Directory listings and social profiles that are outdated or wrong confuse people at the last step.

Why Reputation Management Helps You Get Found

Google says reviews are one of the factors in local search, alongside relevance, distance and how well known a business is. A profile with recent reviews, thoughtful replies and accurate details gives Google, and customers, more reasons to trust you.

  • More visibility. An active, well-reviewed Business Profile supports your position in local search and Google Maps.
  • More clicks. People are more likely to choose a business whose reviews look current and well handled.
  • More calls. Clear hours, services and photos remove the doubts that stop people getting in touch.

    When removal isn't an option

What If a Bad Review Can't Be Removed?

Many negative reviews are genuine, and Google won't take those down, so no review management service can promise otherwise. That doesn't mean you're stuck with the damage. This is where reputation management does its real work.

    1. 1

      Answer it well

A short, calm reply that acknowledges the problem shows future customers how you handle things going wrong.

    2. 2

      Fix the cause

If the complaint is fair, change what caused it. The same complaint showing up again does far more harm.

    3. 3

      Keep genuine reviews coming

Ask every customer for feedback. Newer reviews naturally appear above older ones, so one bad review stops defining you.

    4. 4

Make the rest of your profile shine

Fresh photos, accurate details and answered questions give people more to judge you on than one review.

What Good Reputation Management Never Includes

Some reputation companies take shortcuts that put your Google Business Profile at risk. We don't, and you should be wary of anyone who offers them.

    • Buying, writing or posting fake reviews
    • Asking only happy customers for reviews
    • Offering discounts or gifts for reviews
    • Mass flagging honest reviews
    • Promising a guaranteed rating
    • Pressuring or contacting reviewers

    FAQ

    Reputation Management Questions

More answers on our FAQ page, or ask us directly.

    What is online reputation management?

Online reputation management is the ongoing work of looking after what people see when they look up your business. For most local businesses that means Google: your reviews, how you reply, and your Business Profile. Done well, it's mostly steady habits rather than dramatic fixes.

How is this different from review removal?

Review removal help deals with specific reviews that may break Google's policies. Reputation management covers everything around them: monitoring, replies, earning genuine reviews and keeping your profile accurate. Policy-based reporting is one part of it.

Can you guarantee a higher rating?

No honest company can, because customers choose their own ratings and Google decides on every report. What we can do is make sure reviews get good replies, rule-breaking reviews get reported properly and more real customers are asked for feedback. Over time, that usually shows.

Do I need to give you my Google password?

Never. If you want us to post replies or update your profile, you can add us as a manager on your Google Business Profile, and remove us at any time. Many clients prefer to approve replies and post them themselves.

What if a negative review can't be removed?

Then the goal is to reduce its impact. A good public reply, fixing whatever caused the complaint and a steady flow of genuine new reviews all mean one bad review stops being the first thing people notice. That's a big part of what ongoing reputation management is for.

How much does reputation management cost?

It depends on how many locations you have, how many reviews come in and which parts you need. We talk through your situation first, then send a clear monthly quote. There's no long contract.

    Which businesses is this for?

Mostly owner-run U.S. businesses that rely on local customers: restaurants, clinics, home services, law firms, salons and similar. If people find you on Google Maps before they call, it's relevant to you.
